Mikey McNulty is the creator of the Vivid Fine Art Collection. Vivid is a truly unique & exclusive style of photography, created by using a technique called “shutter drag”, which is commonly found in McNulty’s nightlife photography. Every Vivid piece is created strictly and exclusively in-camera with the movement of the camera and the variety of light sources in the frame – no image editing program manipulation. This makes each photograph entirely unique and 100% unrepeatable.
The shutter drag technique has been used for years in McNulty’s photography, but has been taken to an unprecedented level in the Vivid series. After 5 years of professional photography experience in the entertainment industry and portraiture work, the lights of the finest cities in America have been isolated and permutated to create the Vivid Fine Art series.
Operation Give Life (OGL) was started in 2008 by Randy Boyer in an effort to raise money for cancer research. Every day over 1,500 people in the United States lose their battle against cancer. The goal of OGL is for DJs and music lovers from all over the world to join the worldwide fight against cancer for one night of extraordinary entertainment. OGL 2009 took place on July 18 with DJs Randy Boyer & Tritonal. The event has raised close to $1,000 dollars and fundraising will continue until July 31st.
Money raised from OGL will go to support the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). The PMC raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 100% of the money raised through ticket sales and donations from OGL will go to support the PMC and more importantly, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the leading centers for cancer research, treatment and patient care.
